{"id":244,"date":"2026-06-12T16:11:07","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T16:11:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marketrelocationreport.com\/?p=244"},"modified":"2026-06-12T16:11:07","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T16:11:07","slug":"return-to-office-push-put-gsas-network-infrastructure-to-the-test","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marketrelocationreport.com\/?p=244","title":{"rendered":"Return-to-office push put GSA\u2019s network infrastructure to the test"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Telecommunications services provider MetTel announced on Wednesday that it successfully completed network upgrades to 11 General Services Administration offices across the U.S. to help meet the needs of the Trump administration\u2019s return-to-work mandate.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/marketrelocationreport.com\/?p=242\">Most Americans think government workers are competent and should be nonpartisan, according to recent surveys<\/a><\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump signed a January 2025 executive order requiring that federal agencies \u201ctake all necessary steps to terminate remote work arrangements,\u201d the vast majority of which evolved out of the COVID-19 pandemic that began in 2020. But an influx of employees back into offices also means that existing bandwidth and broadband services often need to be modernized.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>MetTel said it outfitted the GSA offices \u201cwith Software-Defined Wide Area Network technology, 22 new high-capacity network circuits and Voice over IP services,\u201d with the circuits being \u201ctailored to the unique needs of each site.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The work was conducted through GSA\u2019s $50 billion governmentwide Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract to modernize its existing operations.
